Ed Schulz of Iowa
registered this
seedling of H. 'Tequila Sunrise' in 2015
and
re-registered
with new data in 2018. The large size
(20 inches high by 38 inches wide) hosta has yellow to
light green foliage which is lightly twisted, moderately
wavy and dull on top. Its petioles have purple coloration
which extends up into the leaf blade.
Pale lavender,
tubular flowers bloom from August into September
followed by viable seeds. There is also some red in the
bloom scapes which grow to 20 to 30 inches in height.
The registration materials state: "...cascading mound
with long flowing leaves and purple extending up the
bloom scape and petiole...yellow at emergence then light
green ..."
