Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan originated this sport of H. 'Yellow Splash' which was registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. The medium size (14 inches high by 24 inches wide) hosta has shiny green, ovate foliage. It bears purple, funnel shape flowers from later July into August.
