W. George Schmid of Georgia and the author of The Genus Hosta registered this hybrid of H. rectifolia x H. 'Ani Machi' in 2009. It grows into a medium size hosta about 12 inches high and 24 inches wide with golden yellow foliage that has a dark green marginal variegation. The leaves are ovate and slightly shiny on top. Pale purple flowers bloom from mid-July into August and set viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...changes color throughout the season, appearing gold early, then a combination of green and gold and later almost completely green."
