This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated by Danny Van Eechaute of Belgium, this non-registered cultivar is a golden-yellow sport of H. 'Needle's Eye'. It is a fast growing, small size (6 inches high by 7 inches wide). The leaves are broadly ovate, slightly wavy and dull on top. Deep purple, tubular flowers with white stripes bloom from July into August.

There is a registered cultivar named H. 'Goldeneye'.
