This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage is from
Van
Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio. It grows
into a large size hosta 21 inches in
height and 56 inches wide with moderately wavy, elliptic shaped
leaves.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...Van Wade told me that 'Gold in
May' is one of the brightest and most beautiful hostas in his
collection in May."
