This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Cynthia Tompkins of Oregon. A large size hosta, it has foliage that is green and rippled with a very thick underside bloom.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...ranks as one of (if not "the") first hosta cultivars developed in the United States."
