This sport of H. 'Mountain Green' was registered by Dr. Charles Purtymun and Jay Hyslop of Walden West Nursery of Oregon in 1999. The medium size mound of variegated foliage has pale purple flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...'Fortunei' type foliage."

It is my understanding that this plant was named after Gunther Stark's wife.
