This medium size (16 inches high) light green
hosta with white marginal variegation was registered by
Paul Aden of New York in
1986. It is a sport of H. 'Hoopla'. The leaves are slightly
lobed at the base and are slightly corrugated. Lavender flowers
bloom in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Though its popularity has declined since its
introduction in the 1980s, it still rates highly, even when
compared to more recent cultivars."
According
to Schmid
(1991), this is a hybrid of H. 'Aden
No. 421' × H. 'Aden
No. 425'.
