Originated in Japan, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of
H. longipes. It forms a small size hosta with
narrowly ovate leaves that come to a tip. The foliage is
green with white streaked variegation. Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term fuiri as variegated
and the term iwa as rock, Iwa Gibōshi or
