This sport of H. 'Banana Muffins' was registered by
Jim Schwarz of
Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by Uniquely
Hostas of Wisconsin) in 2000. It grows
into a small size hosta about 8 inches tall with a spread of 17
inches. The heavily corrugated leaves are medium gold with a
narrow white marginal variegation. It bears lavender flowers in
July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Keep this plant juvenile (divide every 2-3 years) to
prevent the
drawstring effect..."
