this cultivar is a seedling of
H. gracillima
unnamed seedling ×
H. longipes unnamed
seedling. It is a small size hosta about 9 inches tall
by 12 inches wide with dark green foliage that has
cream, yellow and white streaked variegation. The
elliptical leaves are relatively flat and very shiny on
top. Pale purple flowers on reddish purple scapes bloom
from late June into July followed by viable seeds in
reddish brown pods. The
registration materials state: "...Nice streaky
cream and green colours are relatively stable if divided
every four years. Pollen fertile but red pods are low
in viable seed production." |
