this fast growing cultivar is
a
sport of H. 'Gold Standard'. It is a very large
size hosta about 30 inches high by around 25 inches
wide. It is a dark green hosta with golden yellow and
creamy white streaked variegation. The broadly ovate
leaves are relatively flat and dull on top. Pale
lavender flowers on scapes up to 38 inches tall bloom
from mid-July into August. It does not set seeds.
The registration materials state: "...Very
attractive colours with good stability in variegation.
Good as pollen parent for hybridizing...green speckling
appears in non-green areas as the season progresses ." |
