this small to medium size (11 inches high by 19 inches
wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Cinnamon
Sticks' ×
H. longipes hypoglauca.
It is a medium green hosta with ovate foliage that is
relatively flat with occasional twists and curls and a
very shiny top. Deep purple, bell-shaped flowers bloom
from August into October on reddish brown scapes 17 to
20 inches tall. It does not set seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Red petioles hold
up shiny leaves of good substance with occasional curls
or twists. Lasts well into October." |
