Originated by
Frances Williams of Massachusetts and
her daughter,
Connie Williams, this non-registered cultivar is a
large size sport of H. 'Frances Williams'.
The leaves have thick substance, are heavily corrugated,
have a deeply lobed base and a distinct tip. It bears
large clusters of near white flowers from mid-June into
July. This cultivar is distinguished from the mother
plant by having a wider golden-yellow marginal
variegation and somewhat taller clump height. According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009),
" H. 'Frances Williams Squash Edge' = H. 'Squash
Edge'."
