Originated by Marco and Joyce Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'George Smith'.  It is a large size hosta with yellow foliage. Near white flowers with a pale lavender mid-tepal stripe blooms from late June into mid-July.

According to The Genus HOSTA by W. George Schmid (1991), there is also a cultivar named H. 'Fourteen Karat'.
