"The
H. 'Fortunei' hybrid complex in its various forms has a
tendency to produce variegated sports that occur in
cultivation and are frequently found in tissue culture
explants. Aside from the well-known classic white- and
yellow-margined or yellow-centered forms...a multitude
of mutants exist in gardens but they often disappear
because many are unstable. Over the years stable forms
have been found and named; some of the horticulturally
important stable taxa are listed below...Although
generally attributed to H. 'Fortunei', most are mutants
of H. 'Fortunei Hyacinthina' or
H. 'Fortunei Aoki'."

Hosta Journal (1996 Vol. 27 No. 2) states that
this is an "Invalid name (can be several cultivars)".
