According to a photo on the Hosta Library, this is a medium size hosta with chartreuse to yellow foliage with a light green marginal variegation. The foliage starts the spring yellowish with a dark green center vein and changes to yellow with a green edge. It is a sport of H. 'Gold Regal' from Michael Schembs of Kansas. 'Faux Mist' produces medium lavender, bell-shaped flowers which are fertile and borne on tall scapes in July.
