Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan registered this
seedling of H. 'Fascinator' in 1999. The
medium size mound is 17 inches tall
and 40 inches wide with slightly wavy foliage. In mid-July, the
pale lavender flowers begin to bloom but are sterile and do not
set seeds.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...a very wide-margined, much
improved version of 'Fortunei Albomarginata', though the two are
not related."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "The variegated margin gradually turns creamy
yellow, especially in hot climates and bright
light."
