A hybrid of H. 'William Lachman', this cultivar was registered in 1995 by
Dr. Jim
and Jill
Wilkins of Michigan. The semi-upright large size mound reaches a height of 23 inches
and the leaves are slightly wavy and heart shaped. Its very pale
lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...could easily be mistaken for a 'Gold Regal' seedling owing to its mound habit, color and size. Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina (1996) described this to me as having the color of
"Granny Smith" apples."
