Originated by
Hans Hansen of
Walters Gardens,
Inc. of Michigan, this cultivar was registered in
2021
as a sport of H. 'Empress Wu'. It is a small to
medium size (21 inches
high by 41 inches wide) hosta with dark green foliage
that has greenish white streaked variegation. The
ovate leaves are relatively flat and slightly wavy. It bears
near white, tubular shape flowers with stripes from June
into July and rarely sets viable seeds.
According to the Registration materials: "Unusual speckled leaf
variegation...Most white in the spring, gaining more
flecks as the season progresses...." |
