This non-registered cultivar is a
seedling of H. 'Gold Regal' from
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan. The medium size hosta grows to
about 17 inches in height with a spread of around 45
inches. It has light gold color foliage that is slightly
wavy and slightly corrugated. Light purple, funnel
shaped flowers bloom from late July into August on 27
inch tall scapes. These are followed by seed pods. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...differs from 'Gold Regal' by having a smaller mound
size, much lighter gold foliage, and a later blooming
season."
