small size (10 inches high by 30 inches wide)
cultivar is of unidentified parentage although the pod
parent is an unnamed seedling of H. 'Gaijin'.
It is a medium green hosta with broadly ovate foliage
that is slightly twisted, moderately cupped, moderately
corrugated and slightly shiny on top. Pale purple
flowers with very pale lavender petals with medium
purple stripes bloom from mid-July into August on scapes
up to 24 inches tall followed by viable seeds.
The registration
materials state: "...Light to medium green
heart-shaped leaves early, develop greenish yellow
mottling and streaks throughout the season...greenish
yellow mottling and streaks appear throughout the
season." |
