Wyatt Lefever of North Carolina registered this
hybrid of H. montana x H. 'Fortunei' in
1996. The
large size (24 inches high by 60 inches wide) mound
has a semi-upright form. Its ovate shaped leaves are heavily
rippled and shiny on top and bottom. Pale lavender
flowers bloom from July into August on scapes 54 to 62 inches
tall followed by viable seeds.
The
registration materials state: "...long, pointed,
arching leaves that are pinched at the tip."
According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), "...shows many hybrid
characteristics, but tends more to its H. montana
parent."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to moderate growth rate. Grow as a specimen
where the graceful leaves can be seen close up."
