A seedling of H. 'Riptide', this cultivar was registered by
Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in 2005. It was originated by
Wyatt Lefever of North Carolina. The plant
grows into a large size
hosta about 18 inches high with a spread of 48 inches. The
blue-green to dark green leaves are slightly wavy, slightly
corrugated and have good substance with red petioles. It bears
funnel-shaped, medium purple flowers in August.

Grenfell (2009) states: "Grow at eye level to expose the purple petioles
which contrast well with the bluish leaves. Moderate growth
rate...Leaves larger and slightly bluer than its parent."
