Hosta 'Dorothy's Brass Band'

This cultivar of unidentified parentage (thought to have either H. 'Sieboldiana' or H. 'Tokudama' in its background according to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009)) was originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan and was registered on his behalf by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010.

It is a medium size hosta which grows to around 18 inches in height with a spread of about 36 inches. The leaves are golden yellow in color, moderately corrugated, slightly folded, nearly round and slightly shiny on top. Flowers bloom on scapes up to 30 inches tall from June into July.

The registration materials state: "...yellow with heavy puckering, folded and cupped leaves."
