Paul Aden of New York registered this cultivar in 1983. It is a hybrid of H. 'Gala' × H. 'Halo' with form a mound about 7 inches high with a
spread of 12 inches. The leaves are moderately shiny and have
thick substance. It bears funnel-shaped, medium lavender flowers
that bloom in late August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...was a "cutting edge" plant at the time, displaying
unusual, mottled variegation on very thick-substanced leaves."
