This
Tardiana-type seedling of unidentified parentage is from
Eric Smith of
England . It
was named and registered by
Roger and Ann Bowden
of Devon, England on Smith's behalf in 1988. The medium size plant grows to about 13
inches in height with a spread of 34 inches. Its leaves are slightly
wavy and have thick substance. Very pale lavender flowers bloom from
July into August on scapes up to 30 inches tall followed by viable
seeds.

Grenfell (2009) states: "H. 'Halcyon' is smaller and has a better defined leaf shape."
