An
H. 'Sagae' seedling, this cultivar was registered by
Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio in 1996. Typical of its parent plant, it forms a
giant size
mound, about 30 inches high and over 5 feet wide. The leaves are
deeply lobed at the base and have a distinct pointed tip. Its
near white flowers bloom in late June.
According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), "...what a plant! The large-size
mound makes an imposing presence in any shade garden."
