This cultivar is a
tissue culture sport of an F1 seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' which was registered by
Stuart Asch of Michigan in 2004.
It forms a large size mound of deep green foliage. The
leaves are heavily corrugated and have thick substance.
Pale lavender flowers bloom in July on 38 inch tall
scapes. The originator
made the following comment on the
Fraternal Order
of Seedy Fellows website: "Named after my son in
law, this rugged hosta has leaves that are deeply
corrugated along with great substance and wonderful
contrasting white flowers in late June and early July. "
