Hosta 'Cuyahoga Falls'

Another hosta registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010, this cultivar is a sport of H. 'Cuyahoga'. The slow growing, large size mound reaches a height of 20 inches with a spread of 48 inches. Its leaves are glaucous on both the top and the bottom. They are slightly wavy, moderately corrugated and ovate with a cordate base. The tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

Cuyahoga Falls is a city in Summit County, Ohio. It is named for the Cuyahoga River which flows into Lake Erie and was once known as the river that caught on fire due to its polluted nature. Clean water laws have since corrected the situation.
