This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'William Lachman' which was registered in 2005 by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan. A small size plant only 6 inches high, 'Cutie Pie' has dark green foliage with yellow and creamy white streaked variegation. Lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August on 12 inch scapes.
