Originated in Japan and brought to the U.S. by
John Creech of the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C., this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H.
montana. It is a medium size (17 inches high
by 56 inches wide) hosta with heavily rippled green
foliage. The leaves have deep veins and have long, thin
tips. Flowers bloom in July on scapes up to 47 inches
tall followed by many seed pods.
