This non-registered cultivar is a sport of H.
ventricosa 'Aureomaculata'
originated by "Wallace".
It is a large size plant about 22 inches high by 47
inches wide. The green foliage has yellow streaked
variegation. Leaves have a
heart-shaped base and are long and twisted at the tip. Medium
purple, bell-shaped flowers are borne on tall (43 inches) scapes
in July.
"Plant
is a center-variegated sport with the outer leaves
becoming green and inner leaves yellow streaked. All
yellow in spring, viridescent. Several clones exist."
