Registered by Franc Freeman of Iowa in 2011, this
fast growing cultivar
is of unidentified parentage. It is a very upright growing
hosta of giant size about 30 inches high by 19 inches in
width. The medium green foliage is lightly cupped, slightly flat, broadly ovate and very shiny on top.
Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on
scapes up to 22 inches tall.
We wonder if the registration
information is correct on this one. It says, "Plant:
19 in. (48 cm) diameter, 30 in. (76 cm) high;
upright; fast." and "Scape:
20 to 22 in. (51 cm) long; green." If the
information is correct, the flowers bloom 8 to 10 inches
below the foliage...very strange. It is probably really
a large size plant 19 inches tall by 30 inches
wide...just our guess, however.
