this cultivar is an
open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Evening
Inferno'. It is a medium size plant about 14 inches high
by 32 inches wide with bright yellow-green foliage. The
broadly ovate leaves are moderately twisted, slightly
convex and wavy overall. Pale lavender flowers with a
medium lavender central stripe bloom in August on scapes
about 22 inches tall. The viability of the seed was
unknown at the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "Bright yellow green
leaves with ruffled edges atop saturated burgundy
petioles, burgundy scapes stand out against the smooth
bright leaves...Viridescent. Bright yellow green leaves
turn greenish over time with a second flush of bright
leaves in July ." |
