Hosta 'Cooltini'

This cultivar is a hybrid of a golden yellow sport of H. 'Blue Dimples' × H. 'Shining Tot' which was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2009. It is a small size plant about 9 inches high by 23 inches wide with medium blue-green foliage which turns to dark green by August. The leaves are slightly rippled, slightly corrugated, ovate with a thin glaucous bloom on top and red dotted petioles. Pale purple, tubular flowers bloom from mid-August into September.

From the Field Guide to Hostas by Mark Zilis (2014), "Other cultivars introduced from the same cross include 'Appletini', 'Azuretini' (blue), 'Bluetini' (blue), 'Bubbatini' (blue), 'Limetini' (gold in spring, then green), 'Martini' (medium green) and 'Saketini' (oddly colored leaves and closed flowers)."
