Mark Zilis of Illinois
registered this
cultivar in 2003. It is a
tissue culture sport of H. 'Fragrant
Bouquet' which forms a medium size hosta about 17 inches high by 33 inches
wide. The fragrant flowers are very pale lavender
in color and bloom in August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "It has a tendency to sport to a
white-centered form that has much less vigor. Remove such shoots
as they appear."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Protect from late frost damage. A valuable plant
for breeding streaked, sun-tolerant hostas with
fragrant flowers."
