This cultivar is a hybrid of
H. sieboldii x
H. clausa normalis which was originated by
Diana Grenfell in England and registered by
Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) on her behalf in 2009. The
medium size hosta has shiny, medium green foliage. Its leaves
are slightly rippled, elliptic and shiny on top. Deep violet
flowers bloom from mid-July into August.
The registration information says, "...leaf surface
lightens up while veins remain medium green; looks
striped..."
"Plant
is named for Diana Grenfell's daughter and has
lanceolate leaves of medium green color. The flowers
are purple and appear in late summer."
