A hybrid of H. 'Yellow Splash' × H. yingeri was registered by
Jim Dishon of Michigan in 1996. It is a medium size plant with
dark green leaves that have creamy white marginal variegation.
Deep purple, spider-shaped flowers bloom from mid-August into
September. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...the name had previously been used for a
Chet Tompkins' plant
(now 'Fagan') and for a
Jim Schwarz of
Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by
Uniquely
Hostas of Wisconsin) introduction (now 'Rubber
Ducky')."
