This
is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the
same name. Neither are currently registered with
The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would
become the "official" hosta of that name and the
others would have to be renamed.
Mark Zilis says that a cultivar of this name was
originated by
Pauline Banyai of Michigan but was
registered under the name 'Lemon Chiffon' in 1988.
Hosta Helper will call this plant
'Chiffon' (Banyai).
Mark Zilis stated, "I also viewed a
Russ O'Harra plant
with this name in 1984 that had chartreuse to gold
foliage, but have not seen it since."
Hosta Helper will call this plant
'Chiffon' (O'Harra).
