2017, this
small size (7 inches high by 15 inches wide) cultivar is a
sport of H. 'Cherry Tart'. Its leaves are yellow
with creamy white marginal variegation. The foliage is lanceolate, slightly wavy and slightly shiny on top. Its
petioles have deep, "cherry red" speckles. Medium
lavender flowers bloom from June into July on scapes 10
to 12 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was undetermined at the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "...Unique sport of
H. 'Cherry Tart' with a half-inch wide, creamy
white margin...Chartreuse with cream margins turn to
yellow leaves with white margins later, especially with
sun exposure." |
