The Genus HOSTA by
W. George Schmid (1991) lists
this as a non-registered,
large size, green
cultivar of H.
montana-type which was originated by
Chet Tompkins of Oregon.
Schmidt describes the plant as having "...uneven,
sometimes checkerboard-patterned, greyish green
variegation over a dark green leaf..." According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...a background plant with mottled-cream foliage that
has a ruffled edge...have never seen in a collection or
garden...may no longer exist." |
