This hybrid of H. 'Calypso' × H. 'Halcyon' was
registered by
Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts in 1988. It
grows to a medium size with a height of around 16 inches with a spread of 40
inches. The leaves are green with a white marginal variegation. It bears pale
lavender flowers in August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...ranks as one of the best and most distinctive of Bill
and Eleanor Lachman's introductions."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Good growth rate but not easy in every
garden...The leaf blade is held horizontally."
