Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts
registered this hybrid of an H. 'Beatrice' seedling x H. 'Frances Williams' in 1995. The
large size mound is 26 inches high with a
spread of 56 inches. Its medium to dark green leaves have a gold
yellow marginal variegation. They are moderately corrugated and
have thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-June
into July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has never achieved widespread popularity despite being
one of the best gold-edged hostas."
