This cultivar is a streaked sport of H. 'Don Stevens' and is a
non-registered introduction from
Charles Seaver of Delaware. It forms a medium size mound
of moderately wavy, slightly corrugated foliage.
The leaves are
broadly ovate, shiny on top and very shiny on the bottom. From
mid-July into August, it develops pale purple flowers on 31 inch
high scapes followed by viable seeds.
If
the name is meant to be that of the famous "lover", it is
misspelled. It should just have one "s" and not two.
