this cultivar is an upright growing large size (26
inches high by 50 inches wide) seedling of
H.
hypoleuca ×
H. 'Uncle Miltie'. The nearly round, blue-green
foliage is moderately cupped, slightly wavy and
corrugated with a dull top. Pale lavender, striped
flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes 21 to
28 inches tall followed by viable seeds.
The registration materials state: "...Almost round,
large blue-green leaves with some reverse cupping.
Intense chalky white leaf backs and purple at the base
of the waxy, light green petioles...Starts out blue with
significant wax changing to medium blue-green later. ." |
