Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan
registered this cross of H. 'Ginko Craig' × H. plantaginea in 1984. The medium to large size mound grows to a height of about 22
inches with a spread of 48 inches. It bears fragrant medium
purple flowers in mid-August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...roughly resembles 'Honeybells'. Its distinction stems
from its flowers that barely open."
