this cultivar is a seedling of ["Beilstein Elslager Seedling" × (H. 'Dorothy
Benedict' ×
H. 'Blue Hawaii')]
× [(H. 'Wahoo' ×
unnamed seedling) ×
H. 'Silver Bay'].
(**For clarity sake, the hostas in
Red are the background of the unnamed pod parent
and the ones in Green
are the background of the unnamed pollen parent of this cultivar.)
It is a large size hosta about
18 inches high by 30 inches wide with dark green foliage
that has a golden-yellow marginal variegation. The
leaves are nearly round, slightly cupped, heavily
corrugated and slightly shiny on top. From late July
into August, medium lavender flowers bloom on scapes up
to 24 inches tall followed by viable seed. The
registration materials state: "Upwardly cupped,
highly rugose with wide margins that narrow to no margin
at the leaf tips."
