This cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by
Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York in 1998. It
has bright gold foliage which is broadly oblong to
ovate, moderately wavy, heavily corrugated and has thick
substance. 'Bright Eagle' is a large size plant about 20
inches high by 48 inches wide. Very pale lavender
flowers bloom from late July into August.
