A seedling of
H. nakaiana,
this plant was registered by
Eunice Fisher of Wisconsin in 1971. It forms a
medium size plant about 15 inches high with a spread of around
40 inches. The medium green leaves are dull on top and have a
thin bloom below with slightly wavy margins. There is no cupping
or corrugation on this plant. Bright purple flowers are borne in
July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...closely resembles its known parent,...except for a more
elongated blade shape...good subject for ground cover purposes."
